Dr. Paramdeep Singh

Dr Singh is working as an Additional Professor of Radiology. Besides specializing in medical Imaging, he has received certifications in Global Health, Science Diplomacy and Biomedical Research. His areas of interest and expertise are as follows: Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Medicine, Health, Public Health, Global Health, Health Policy, Health Systems, evidence-based healthcare and Healthcare leadership.

Dr. Paramdeep Singh has published nearly 90 peer-reviewed publications in national and
international peer-reviewed journals including “The Lancet”. Dr Singh is the recipient of many
awards, scholarships and recognitions such as the Young Investigator award by World Stroke
Organization for his research on Stroke and has been identified as an outstanding Young
Physician Leader (YPL) by the InterAcademy Partnership (IAP). He has received best research
paper award at annual conference of Indian Society of Neuroradiology for his research on
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) based volumetry of the brain structures of normal Indian
Subjects and in patients with Epilepsy. His notable work related to Women’s and Fetal Health
comprises Management of Mullerian abnormalities, Effect of Fluorosis with Adverse
Pregnancy Outcomes, Fetal Trans-cerebellar Diameter in estimating Gestational age, and
Radiation protection, reduction of radiation doses from Radiological examinations and
awareness of health hazards of radiation amongst clinicians, patients and general public.
Dr. Singh is the only Radiologist in India to be selected as a member of the Indian National
Young Academy of Science [INYAS] (c/o Indian National Science Academy [INSA]). He is
also a member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences (India) and Punjab Academy of
Sciences (India). He is a fellow of the European Society of Radiology (ESR), World Academy
of Medical Sciences (WAMS) and International Medical Sciences Academy (IMSA).
Dr. Singh has been appointed as a member of its Diagnostic Technical Advisory Group on
Neglected Tropical diseases by the World Health Organization (WHO). He has also been
appointed as a member of the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) Collaborator Network by the
Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) at the University of Washington.
