Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chatchai Ratanachai, Vice President for Outreach and International Affairs, Dr. Yusof Talek, Director of the College of Islamic Studies, and other PSU representatives welcomed our visitors.
During the meeting, the University of Brunei Darussalam, and the Institute for Research and Education Management Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, were accepted as members of the ASEAN Learning Network (ALN). The Memoranda of Understanding with ALN were signed by representatives of both institutions. Also discussed during the meeting was the next SEED program, which will be organized by facilitators at the PSU Pattani Campus, from 4 – 17 July 2012. In addition, Prof. Farok bin Zakaria presented a PowerPoint regarding the latest SEED program in Kelantan, organized by the University Malaysia Kelantan, and offered his university’s support and advice to PSU for the next SEED program. An important development is the ALNC website: www.aseanlearningnetwork.net, which has a Microsoft software license.
All participants had the chance to share and exchange ideas regarding the ALNC aspiration to move forward. The next ALNC meeting will be held in July 2012 in Philippines, hosted by San Beda College.
